Open Day

What will you do while studying German? You will receive intensive language and professional training through language exercises and correspondence. You will learn to translate and interpret, and you will get to try the work of an interpreter in the booth. You will learn a lot of new things from the culture, history, life, institutions and literature of German-speaking countries. You will read and review authentic foreign language texts. You will get acquainted with the basics of social science or economic-administrative disciplines.

The teachers will include native speakers, and all students have the opportunity to complete 1-2 semesters of study at foreign universities within the Erasmus+ programme, after the end of the 1st year. In the combined study, literary-oriented subjects are omitted and theoretical knowledge in the field of professional translation and practical presentation skills is not required. Students are allowed to choose subjects that correspond to their needs with respect to the other study programme.

In Religious Studies, you will become acquainted with the religious traditions of the past and with the current religious life. We will also deal with new religious movements and Western spirituality. Using various theoretical approaches, we will focus on the study of religious phenomena that are important for the functioning of modern society, for example:

  • initiation rituals and public celebrations;
  • myths, including fake news;
  • folk spirituality;
  • the role of violence in religious systems.
