Philosophy
Doctoral study in Philosophy allows students to pursue independent work and original research in Philosophy. In addition to focusing on general ethical and political problems, students are also encouraged to study current and relevant topics, such as attitudes towards marginalised groups and topics including populism, nationalism, religious conflict, and climate change.

Physical Chemistry
Graduates from the Physical Chemistry doctoral degree programme are fully qualified in physical chemistry, mainly in solid surface chemistry, adsorption and catalysis, materials research, and chemical kinetics.
Regional and Public Economics
The doctoral study programme Regional and Public Economics is based on two basic scientific disciplines, namely "public economics" and "regional economics". Emphasis is placed on examining the needs of regions, which determine the performance of public administration, or public sector management at the national government level, but also at the level of local governments.

Materials Chemistry
Materials Chemistry deals with areas involving the production and processing of inorganic - and also organic - materials, and methods for determining material properties.
Ethics and Political Philosophy
This two-year, tuition-free Master of Arts (MA) programme, taught in English, is conducted in cooperation with the Centre for Ethics as Study in Human Value, an internationally renowned research centre. The programme offers full specialisation in the two main domains of practical philosophy: ethics and political philosophy. It is ideally, but not exclusively, suited for students with a BA degree in general philosophy.
Surface Engineering
The doctoral degree programme of Surface Engineering can be understood as an interdisciplinary branch of study that covers the chemistry and technology of both materislas and surfaces, together with applied coatings and layers. A graduate froem doctoral study programme is higly educated expert who skilled in the surface treatment of various materials, coatings and the thin films based on macromolecular, organic, inorganic substances and composites.
