Graduates can be characterised as highly qualified experts who are capable of both independent and collaborative creative scientific and research work. Graduates possess comprehensive theoretical knowledge in organic chemistry and in related fields, and are proficient in conducting experiments. They excel at controlling contemporary synthetic and separation procedures and are capable of using analytical methods in a chemical laboratory. The use creative thinking in planning, implementing, evaluating and publishing of their scientific results.

Graduates have job opportunities in both basic and applied research, and particularly in companies that focus on the development and production of organic compounds (natural substances, pharmaceuticals, dyes, compounds for optoelectronics, etc.) Graduates from the Organic Chemistry study programme have the knowledge necessary to process and address in a creative way the complex roles involved in the chemistry of organic compounds and related disciplines, not only in terms of chemical research and chemical production, but also in terms of application, use and the potential impact of chemicals on all areas of human activity.

Graduates are also able to develop and introduce research results into chemical practice and to participate independently in addressing scientific and research tasks. After gaining some experience, graduates will also be qualified for leadership positions in both academia and research institutes, chemical enterprises, and institutions in the field.

All required documents must be delivered to the faculty in paper form, either as an original or an officially certified copy of the original. Documents that are not originally published in English, Czech or Slovak must be officially translated into English or Czech. If an officially certified translation is prepared by a non-Czech court interpreter, the sheets with the translations must be attached to the certified copies of the documents to which they relate, in such a way that prevents the additional exchange or confusion of the sheets containing the translation. Translations attached to plain copies of documents will not be accepted. The sent documents are non-refundable.
