What will we teach you?

By studying English for Business, you will achieve C1-level proficiency in English and enhance your communicative competence in Czech. You will gain theoretical insights into linguistics, the history of British and American literature, and the culture of the English-speaking world. Additionally, you will develop practical skills in translation and interpretation between English and Czech, and acquire a broad understanding of economics, law, and public administration.

Our study programmes emphasise open communication, creative interaction, and intensive peer collaboration. They require active participation in discussions, team projects, and collaborative problem-solving. We encourage applicants to consider their abilities, motivation, and willingness to engage in a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

What will you become?

As a graduate, you will possess strong communication skills in English, translation expertise, and a foundational understanding of management, marketing, and law. You will be well-equipped for professional roles in translation agencies, editorial offices, administration, state and local government, foreign relations companies, business firms, or cultural foundations—anywhere that requires excellent English language proficiency.

What do the entrance exams involve?

A written entrance exam testing the level of communicative competence in English. The written part tests language skills (listening and reading comprehension), knowledge of lexical-grammatical structures and knowledge of the Anglo-American literary and cultural context (a maximum score of 100).

As part of the admission procedure, foreigners under Article III of the Directive must prove their language proficiency for studying in the study programme in the Czech language by providing proof of passing a certified examination in the Czech language for foreigners at least at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference. This certificate must be attached to the e-application.
